Poetry about war
This discussion evening will dive into the topics of struggle, courage, love, and the unbreakable spirit of Ukrainians. We will recite verses in which every word is infused with the strength and will for freedom, evoking emotions that we experience and that we have no right to forget. We will read select poems from the bilingual poetry book-photoalbum “For Invincible”.

Vitalii Byrchak
A poet, public figure, and volunteer. The author of the poetry book “Tobi” (“To You”).
For more than seven years, Vitalii actively involved in charitable activities: he’s the organizer of creative and charity projects and events, including in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The initiator of the bilingual poetry book-photoalbum “For Invincible”.
Yuliya Vrotna
A poet, children’s author, and translator. Wrote and published: “Wobbler” poetry collection, children’s books: “The Diary of a Yellow Dog” and “Drakosyky” (“Dragon Babies”). Also, her texts / translations have been published in the “Rock Book” almanac, “For Invincible” poetry book-photoalbum, “Dictionary of War”, “Sunflowers”, and many other poetic anthologies.

Daria Lysenko
Ukrainian and Croatian writer, art historian, artist. Born in Kyiv in 1992. Lived and studied in Ukraine, Serbia and Croatia. She is the author of the collection of poems „For this I have no explanation“(Edicije Božičević, Zagreb, 2017). Her poems were published in many Croatian and Ukrainian literary online portals and printed literary magazines, as well as in three anthologies: Croatian Poetic Hooligans. Anthology of contemporary Croatian ironic poetry (Kyiv, 2018), Anthology of Morning of the Poetry 2010 – 2020 (Zagreb, 2020) and Poet’s Almanac of First Coffee (Kyiv, 2021).
She currently lives in the Netherlands in The Hague, where she actively works on exhibitions dedicated to Russian aggression in Ukraine, but also writes for Croatia about the political situation in her country, as well as about the art and culture of Ukraine.
