Uliana Bun, originally from Nadvirna in the Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine, is a co-founder of VATAHA and the lead singer in Korali, an ensemble dedicated to celebrating Ukraine’s musical heritage. By education, she is a teacher and social worker, but she now works as a freelance chef specializing in Ukrainian cuisine. Uliana is passionate about bringing traditional Ukrainian dishes to ‘high’ cuisine, showing its sophistication and rich flavors. She is also deeply inspired by the embroidery and aesthetics of the Hutsul region, infusing her culinary and cultural work with the vibrancy of Ukrainian heritage.
